Yotam Ottolenghi to host world’s leading food photography awards ceremony

We are thrilled to reveal that the Master of Ceremonies for this year’s World Food Photography Awards sponsored by Tenderstem® Bimi® Broccolini will be the renowned chef, restaurateur and food writer Yotam Ottolenghi.

“Photography has such a unique power to capture a food story,” says Yotam. “I am looking forward to celebrating the talented photographers who bring food to life through the lens."

Yotam Ottolenghi is the chef-patron of the Ottolenghi group. It all began in Notting Hill in 2002 with the creation of a unique food shop, deli, restaurant and bakery. Ottolenghi has developed a style of food which is rooted in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean traditions, but which also draws in diverse influences and ingredients from around the world.

Yotam is the author of eleven best-selling cookery books which have garnered many awards. He has been a weekly columnist for the Guardian for over fifteen years, is a regular contributor to The New York Times, and is the creator of a hugely popular Substack newsletter.

This year’s Awards Evening will be a truly special occasion with Yotam at the helm.”

The Champagne Taittinger Awards Evening will take place at the prestigious Mall Galleries, London on 20th May. It will bring together the competition’s finalists, judges, sponsors and stars of the food and photography world for an evening of inspiration and celebration.  

This will be followed by a free-to-enter exhibition at the Mall Galleries of all finalist images, which will run until Sunday 25th May.
